A word from Evelyn after she saw this picture...

"Oh my goodness! Just searched the school and see the Class if 52 with Father Cory and Sister Noel. Wish I knew the class members. I graduated in 57 and my sister in 54. My parents were part of the families who helped renovate the convent and worked so hard at the church. Mom even worked in the cafeteria. I remember Sister Irene and I believe a very young nun, Sister Marie. The family of Caldrons, Schiestles, Lagiose, Smiths, Egberts, Pfannkuchs and many others were so viable to the beginning of the church and school. I remember attending Masses at the Dawson Theater in Dawson before the church was built and vividly remember the church/school carnivals at which my dad so eagerly manned the Second Hand Store. I still keep in contact with Bob and Becky Moore who still reside near the church on Newton Place. They were my next door neighbors before my family moved to Texas. It was great seeing this photo."

About Peter and Paul School

As our Principal, Mr. Martin, stated: "We at Saints Peter and Paul form a diverse community that reflects the reality of our society. We base our belief in the 2,000 year old tradition of the Catholic Church that teaches love of God and love of neighbor. Church tradition includes not only a profound love of Jesus Christ but also a strong devotion to Mary, his mother as an example of humility and dignity. This dignity is the basis of our school culture: respect to all God's children. In this environment we learn, pray and play together."

Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School is a small school of about 230 students located in Northeast Tulsa. It was founded in 1950 by Sisters of the Dominican Order. The school serves preschool through eighth grades and strives to educate each child to his or her fullest in an atmosphere of warmth and dignity.
