STS. PETER & PAUL CATHOLIC SCHOOL
SCHOOL STATEMENTS
Mission
It is the mission of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School:
To build a faith-filled community which joins its members together through prayer, worship and mutual respect, and
To provide for each student an accessible, dynamic and Christian educational environment which promotes spiritual growth, academic excellence and the
wisdom, desire and ability to contribute to a rapidly advancing global community.
Philosophy
At Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School, we believe that each student is entitled to a quality education which provides the opportunity for spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social and physical development.
This commitment promotes a love of God and others and fosters a life-long challenge to live the Gospel message through prayer, learning, leadership and service.
Student Code
I am a Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School student.
I have high expectations for myself.
I accept the challenge to become the best that I can be.
Yesterday’s failures are behind me; today’s successes are now before me.
I will make today the very best day of all, for this day begins the rest of my life.
I accept the responsibility for my behavior and its result.
I do not have the right to interfere with the learning or well-being of others.
With my family and my teachers, I will determine what will become.
For the education I receive today, will make me a leader of tomorrow.
School Motto
Let it be known to all who enter here, that
CHRIST
Is the reason for this school.
He is the unseen but ever present
Teacher in its classes.
He is the model of its faculty and
The inspiration of its students.
Service Projects
Each class sponsors one of several major service projects spread across the school year. The entire school is encouraged to participate. The eighth grade religion class explores the corporal works of mercy. During their studies, these students learn about particular community needs, then create projects to meet those needs. This program is meant to inspire students to live the Gospel message on a daily basis. Students who regularly participate in service activities develop the habit and desire to serve others, and will hopefully discover a further desire to live the Gospel message even when no one is present to direct them.
